Google and Samsung announced that the upcoming Galaxy S24 series has not only one, but two versions of Google’s AI model Gemini and Circle-to-search.

Here are these new features to be added to the Samsung Galaxy S24 series soon.

Google’s AI Gemini in Samsung

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 will have Google’s generated AI model, Gemini.

Some well-known companies like Samsung are now joining last year’s generative AI trends by integrating these powerful models into their devices like smartphones, hardware, and other wearables.

Previously Microsoft announced a Copilot Key for integrating its AI assistant from its keyboards and now Samsung is advertising its device as ‘AI Phones’, adding multimodal and generative AI to smartphones into consumer technology.

Gemini Pro in Samsung Galaxy S24 will command Samsung’s Notes, Voice Recorder, and Keyboard apps for summarization features.  Moreover, the Gallery app will incorporate Google’s Imagen 2 text-to-image technology for advanced photo editing capabilities.

Thomas Kurian, CEO, Google Cloud:

Together with Samsung, Google Cloud sees the tremendous opportunity for generative AI to create meaningful mobile experiences that stimulate and strengthen connection and communication for millions.

With Gemini, Samsung’s developers can leverage Google Cloud’s world-class infrastructure, cutting-edge performance, and flexibility to deliver safe, reliable, and engaging generative AI powered applications on Samsung smartphone devices.

The Galaxy S24 series features a collaboration with Google Cloud, powering Gemini Pro and Imagen 2. Not limited to these cloud-based models, this upcoming Samsung will have an on-device AI model called Gemini Nano. This lightweight model is used for generative AI tasks that need less computing requirements, enabling features like the tone of messages and helpful in creating AI-generated photomojis. Moreover, because Google Messages and other features use Gemini Nano, Samsung has a privacy setting to make sure that information processed by these features stays fully on the device.

A New Way to Access Information-Circle-to-Search

Besides announcing the Gemini on the Samsung Galaxy S24, Samsung and Google announced another new feature, Circle-to-Search. To use this circle-to-search feature, users have to scribble over the main data that they want to search and can find further information on the same window. In simple words, with the generative AI-powered feature, users can more easily understand the concepts and different ideas at the same time and at the same window that is pulled together from the web.

Hence, just wait for the power of Google AI in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 using which users can have multiple opportunities to enhance productivity.
