New updates are coming to iMessage, Siri, iTunes, Apple Music, and more with Apple’s iOS 18.
Previously, iOS 17 was reviewed as one of the best iOS updates ever because of its latest operating system, but now iOS18 will reportedly take things even further as a major gear change for the iPhone, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
Apple Company said that they tested iOS 18 and this upcoming update comes with “major new designs and features”. Gurman’s comments have further raised the excitement among users as Apple is going to integrate Generative AI into so many apps and features.
Apple Company is reportedly spending more than $1 billion a year on AI development. All this spending money shows that Siri, iMessage, Apple Music, and many other apps are expected to receive many important AI-based improvements in 2024.
According to Revengnus, Apple is currently using the LLM (large language model) to transform Siri into a top-notch assistant.
There is a fact that Apple considers this new iOS to be very important but is not new as Gurman himself already wrote about this in November 2023, while some reports show that Apple then took the unusual step and pausing the development of iOS 18 as they started working on clearing some bugs.
Macrumors noted that Apple plans to enable support for a messaging standard called RCS (Rich Communication Service) on iPhone sometime later in 2024, possibly coinciding with the release of iOS 18 and many AI features soon. This upcoming update shows that there will be an improvement in messaging between Android and Apple users.
But Gurman now says that there’s a “lot more” coming with iOS 18, but what is exactly coming, the details are still missing and we have to wait until any other announcement from Apple. This year’s WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) will probably be more exciting because of the latest AI changes in iPhone apps with iOS 18.
